Company Hello's Installation Guide
Step 01: Consent the App permissions
Company Hello is an SaaS application, available in the Microsoft Marketplace in Azure, so there's no need to create or configure a new App Registration on your Azure environment.
All the permissions needed are already configurated our app, so all we need on this step is to consent it's permissions.
You'll receive a link to validate the following permissions:
Application permissions:
- Group.Read.All
- User.Read.All
- TeamsAppInstallation.ReadWriteForUser.All
Delegated permissions:
- Group.Read.All
- AppCatalog.Read.All
After validating, click consent and that's it!
Step 02: Teams Admin Center - App Manifest
As our app is customizable for everyone of our customers, we'll need to access the teams admin center to upload two manifests, one for the user app and the second one for the authors app.
Don't worry, both manifests will be sent to you during our meeting.
To upload them, is simple, on Teams Admin Center, click on Teams Apps > Manage Apps.
Then click on + Upload new app and select the manifest we've sent to you, one at the time.
Done!
Step 03: Creating a Set-up policy
In this final step, we'll create a set-up policy for the user app, installing it only for a selected people on your organization.
We can assign this policy to any Microsoft 365 group, Team or E-mail group on your Tenant.
First, we'll go to Teams apps > Set-up policies, click on +Add:
Here you can add a name and a description to your set-up policy, then on Installed Apps click on + Add Apps and select Company Hello.
If you want to pin the app for those users, add Company Hello on Pinned Apps as well and save the changes made.
Now that we already have our policy created, lets return into Set-up policies menu and click on Group policy assignment.
Click on Add then select the group that you want to install Company Hello and select the policy created to do so.
Save!
Please note that propagation of the policy may take up to 48 hours.
